The PAUL DELVAUX FOUNDATION, established in 1979, protects Delvaux's interests in accordance with the wishes expressed by the artist himself, who bequeathed his Collection of works, his Archives and his Copyright affairs to the Foundation. Its mission is to engage in promoting awareness of his work. To this end, it leads a program of research activities, and initiates or participates in projects for all audiences both in Belgium and abroad.

Under its aegis, the Paul Delvaux Museum in St. Idesbald was founded in 1982, followed by the Friends of the Paul Delvaux Museum non-profi t organization, the Authentication Committee composed of Delvaux experts who meet twice a year to issue advice and certificates of authentication, and Fondation Paul Delvaux Editions, which publishes reference works devoted to the painter, his life and his art.

The Foundation's offices are open Monday to Friday by appointment only.
